As a proactive Risk and Control Analyst within the Information Risk Management (IRM) department, I played a pivotal role in enhancing the overall IRM experience by providing invaluable advisory and guidance. My responsibilities extended to comprehending both business and internal requirements, driving the implementation of best practices aligned with market standards, and ensuring the identification and support of appropriate risks. As a "trusted advisor," I offered expert risk advisory on IT-related matters, findings, and emerging technologies. My in-depth understanding of IRM and IT Services/Platforms allowed me to conduct comprehensive integrated risk assessments, ensuring risks are meticulously documented, classified, and addressed in accordance with IRM standards. I actively collaborated with various teams within and outside of IRM to deliver effective support and advice to stakeholders. My role further extended to driving awareness of information security issues and risks within business and business IT teams. In this position, I had the unique opportunity to shape the secure and reliable future of Shell's IT landscape, interfacing with a wide range of stakeholders in IT, including Portfolio Managers, IT Managers, Business IRM, Security and Compliance, and internal IRM teams. My key hard skills include expertise in Information Risk Management, IRM processes, IT security standards, legal compliance aspects, and the impact of IRM on IT Services/Platforms, application development, and data lifecycle. Furthermore, I demonstrate the ability to strike a balance between IRM needs, standards, and business considerations within a matrix organization, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.

I brought an additional level of expertise in the Firewall domain, making me the subject matter expert in this critical area in my team. Despite being an undergraduate fresher, my strong grasp of Firewall technologies and protocols has proven invaluable in the team's efforts to ensure a secure IT landscape. One of my key contributions was during the rigorous Firewall audit, where my insights and meticulous attention to detail played a pivotal role in successfully passing the audit with flying colors. My determination to excel in the field of Information Risk Management, coupled with my specialized knowledge in Firewalls, demonstrates my commitment to driving impactful outcomes, even as an undergraduate fresher.
